Menaggio Area Guide Menaggio is a lively little town with narrow streets, a lido, good shops, restaurants and excellent ferry service. The weekly market is a must. Overlooking Menaggio and the lake is the oldest golf course of Italy. Other areas to visit would be Bellagio ( Villa Melzi), Tremezzo (villa Carlotta) , Lugano ( 40 km), Como-town 40 km, Milan 80 km. and wonderful mountains in the nearby Swiss alps in St. Moritz ( 90 km).
