Ossuccio dates from pre-Roman times which is evidenced a "sarizzo votive altar" of the second century A.C. belonging to the population of "Asuciates" that gave its name to the village. In the area there was a revival of churches, such as the Roman one of St. James located in Spurano and the one of St. Mary Magdalene in the village of Ospadelatto.
